Adulthood

I’m just sick of it all,

sick of smiling when I’m dying,

tired of caring when I’m ignoring,

and done with life if this is it.

But I’ve heard of myths and legends,

of freedom and flight as an adult,

or at least opportunities to enjoy and discover,

so can I just skip to the good part already?
