Adventureland

Hey, hold on to my heart
we're not sleeping tonight
keep me from falling apart
let's do everything that's wrong but feels right

If you get in trouble don't explain.
you don't need a fight,
you don't need the pain.
Let's fill up the dark with light

And what we look around
for is hope.
what we found
is a great way to cope.

It's easy to understand
just keep  me warm like your skin
simply hold my hand
and let's ditch the place we're in

If this spark were to fade
continue to run your fingers through my  hair.
'cause you'll be wishing you stayed
if i said i didn't care.

The view is on the horizon.
If you ever feel alone
we can see the sun rising
but don't forget where you belong.

We'll go to the stars,
but the moon will be our first stop.
we might need a car.
in this world we're on top.

There may be other people like us
who crave adventure,
all different feelings at once
makes a person's life contenter.

Where we end up is a mystery
but it's worth finding ourselves.
this will all go down in history
the tale  of  adventureland, we'll tell.
