Advice Venturer

Becoming a student advisor could be life changing

Standing infront of the crowd shouting, crying, specting

looking for signs of understanding

how life changing it would be to have the opportunity

Kids wander today like I wandered yesterday

Closeminded, scared and blind

For as a youngster we cannot imagine the realms of responsiblity

All we see and want to see are fun and games

how life changing would it be to have a chance

Students wander today like I wandered yesterday

lazy, doomed, and asleep

For a student does not see what is down the road

They cannot imagine having to live on their own

how life changing would it be to be there

Highschool students wander today like I wandered yesterday

tired, cold, and overwhelmed

For a junior doesn't know what college will be like

they neither have a clue of how to get there and survive

how changing it would be

Standing there talking, explaining, demonstrating

showing these kids what they need to try and see even if they are blind

the goal of the operation would be to open their eyes

give them context clues and a game plan for their lives

How  would it be
