Aelin Ashryver Galathynius

I know the things I cry for And it seems stupid to you The things my heart wrenches for You couldn't ever understand I was born with a book in hand Even before I could read anything When my eyes didn't comprehend And my heart didn't always break I find comfort in the books I read In the characters who I understand And the plots where I know who'll win The fear of not knowing whose life is forfeit I made my home in this Throne of Glass In the story of Aelin, so much like me Passionate, with a fire burning in her soul With the desire to always be in control But that fire in her soul needs to be fed And her loved ones are the ones who do it She would give her life for them with joy If only to never see their suffering end And I know that now my heart has broken Because of something you can't understand Because Aelin was one of my best friends And now, she's so terribly far away from me
