Afloat

Waves flow in one mass
Surrounding me in a cast
I wait patiently for a traveler to pass
I no longer believe in the past
I go toe-to-toe
Never with a clue
I was never good at saying no
Barely held with glue
Floating with nihilistic hope
Waiting for a never seen shore
Always last to mope
Despite myself, change is not in my core
I will wait for an eternal encore
Floating above one breath
