The depth of love has no measure for it's buried in the heart. It really is a treasure only a lover can impart. Should I listen to the melody of my heart, That is telling me to never part? I can’t help how you make me feel, It is almost as if it isn’t real. I love when you smile at me, When you call me just to hear my voice, When you tell me that I am beautiful, So why am I unsure of which choice? I'm scared you'll only hurt me when I think it's true. I'm scared that you won't be there at the time when I need you. You once told me that You would always stay. Yet promise after promise, you still went away. So, are you willing to piece together All the pieces that you left? Will you promise to put together The parts once whole inside my chest? It won't be an easy job, you see My road has been long and rough And the heart that was once so soft Is now shut, locked, and tough. But if you promise, like that day standing in the rain, I will try my hardest To trust you once again.
