Afraid

I fear to be hurt

I fear to be shallow

I’m as low as dirt

Don’t ever follow

My newly found

Most selfish ways

 I hear the sound

Of God in praise

I want to fly away

And escape all my pain

But I know I must stay

And to you I must explain
