Afraid

I am afraid of today.
With its white sea of uncertainty.
I debate if I should leave now or wait.
If I lose control, I might just slip away.
Nothing is ever guaranteed.

If I stay, I will lay motionless losing my mind.
The price to pay for not entertaining time.

The cold is a bitter challenge.
Never take it for granted unless you are prepared.
Prepared to suffer all its delicious damage.
Its invitation to sleep a gentle sleep.
I tried my best to venture out.
I should have stayed in my bed.
Then I could have tried again.
