afraid of the dark

closing my eyes I begin to dream

something stires by my feet

a shadow on the wall big and tall

it moves

the closet opens on its own accord

the door knob turns even though no ones there

my sheets flutter even though I am still

a shiver runs down my spine

I close my eyes and pray

a whispers sounds and as I hear

come out

come out

COME OUT

fingertips move along my arm

they are not mine

I feel the sheets tighten as some force begins to pull them off

COME OUT

I try to scream go away as tears roll off my cheek

I try to get up but something holds my feet

it pins my head against the bed

crude music sounds inside my head

COME OUT

ITS TIME TO DIE

COME OUT

the voice gets more bold as it wraps its fingers around my throat

COME OUT

I feel the sheets cling to me as if it were a wet blanket

COME OUT

I can't breath as I try to cry out

COME OUT

a weight like a ton of bricks sinks into my chest

I feel my ribs cracking one by one they break

COME OUT

the fingertips still stroking only now they are more like claws

drawing blood

COME OUT

I beg, please go away

the only response is a cold quiet

COME OUT

I want to I want to remove the sheet but every bone and muscle in my body is frozen

COME OUT

It gets louder like its right on top of me

I can feel something licking my face as if it's tasting my tears

COME OUT

suddenly it goes away and I feel like I'm at peace the next day

they open the door to wake me up

only they find nothing more than a empty room and they hear a voice say

COME OUT IT'S TIME TO PLAY
