AFTER

I saw him on the other side of the glass
And I said “Thank you”
He was confused “For what?”

“For teaching me that I can
Live just fine without you.
For giving me a chance to get back up
And Fight for my life,
For teaching me to raise my head
And ROAR”

Then I walked away, back straight,
Head up, and a
Triumphant smile on my face.
