After all time
You have been me.
For four years now.
You've been my heart,
My mind,
And my free time.
Every moment,
You are my thought.
My favorite thought
Is you naked.
Not naked as in
No clothes.
Naked as in
Who you are.
The little details,
Things you don't even know
I see it all, The real you.
Its more then trivia,
The colors that make you smile,
And the food you don't like.
Its the trick questions.
What scents you use before work,
And when you prefer to shower.
The soda cans
cluttering your bedroom
And the places you don't eat.
Thats shirtless at most,
I know more.
The parts of your mind
You don't even explore.
I know about the divorce
And how it made you
protective.
Like it or not,
Its not anger,
its hurt.
Deep down you love me,
However you'll never show it.
You never had the best 'romance' examples.
You think I'm mad
Because the way you are.
Truth is you show it
In so many other ways.
When you take me on
adventures
That are really just
errands.
The random add ins
To make me laugh
in a conversation.
When you give me the aux cord,
And when you chase me
After stealing your shoes.
I know that you love me,
You don't know that you show it.
I'm not mad,
I'm astonished
You don't see it too.
