after hours
After hours of sadly waitingq
You came to me with a hunch
With a load in which I could not carry
But could not decline
For your achievements were mighty
And the reward was small
And after seeing you in the hole of diamonds
Resentment struck
For how could I be so awful
After I had left you for precious rhinestone
But the diamond glistened
Unlike I who barely twinkled
So I took your hunch
And I had it sit on me so softly
But now it has left a scar and which is permanent
Which haunts me and taunts me
Laughs at me causes regret
Causes remorse
Causes a need to pay it back
Causes fear and sadness
But when we are done
Whatever I receive is what I will take.
But could not decline
For your achievements were mighty
And the reward was small
And after seeing you in the hole of diamonds
Resentment struck
For how could I be so awful
After I had left you for precious rhinestone
But the diamond glistened
Unlike I who barely twinkled
So I took your hunch
And I had it sit on me so softly
But now it has left a scar and which is permanent
Which haunts me and taunts me
Laughs at me causes regret
Causes remorse
Causes a need to pay it back
Causes fear and sadness
But when we are done
Whatever I receive is what I will take.
