After math
Pain is something that changes us.
Its presence being something that is shaping, something that can be debilitating, something that makes us or breaks us.
And thats exactly what it did to me.
Pain has broken me beyond repair.
Its repeated blows and slashes continuously shredding me to the point where my heart, mind, and soul have all become nothing more than mounds of dense scar tissue.
But it continues to cut.
Somehow, someway the pain manages to find a weak spot, a spot that somehow remained soft among the petrified tissue.
Mounds of tissue that yerns to become soft again, to be given the opportunity to feel without fear, but has become too used to the protection of its steel like exterior.
But only time will tell, as now is too early to determine that if the damage that has been done will be everlasting.
The memories of the scars origins only serving as an incentive to keep the healing that needs and wants to be done from occuring.
As with healing comes pain, and with pain, fresh and tender scars.
Scars that will only be located in the places that previous scars have dared to allow healing to take place.
