The aftermath of a loss

Dear Grandpa,

My skies have been gray,

Since that sparkle left your eyes,

Ever since you've passed away,

Every day I've cried;

From the happy go lucky little girl you loved so much,

To a depressing, good for nothing one you'd hate,

I miss your loving touch,

I miss the way you'd let me choose my own fate;

Slowly healing,

I try to fix my heart,

Scared to show my real feelings,

Sowly my world breaks apart;

I can feel rage fill my body,

Nighmares start to chase me around,

My mind and my trust has gone foggy,

One more hurtful blow and I'll wind up in the ground;

I hide the scars of pain,

I hide the dried tears trail,

It's hard to keep sane,

When you try to fx your broken heart but fail;

I miss you deeply.

Sincerely,

Madison Turman
