The Afterparty

Eyeliner and cigarettes.

The smell of beauty,

she is late to the party.

Her idea of fun

is to break as many hearts

on the dancefloor.

Idle are the red lights,

the night keeps a fast pace

and she cannot dance anymore.

Disoriented and alone

each night becomes a pointless adventure.

She watches each friend turn into an enemy.

The beauty of truth is uncomparable.

She has earned her scars

and will breathe air of the daylight.
