Again

Why the Hell do we keep doing this? You tell me to put my heart in your hands, So I set it down… with hesitance. And what do you do? You hold it for awhile, then throw it on the ground And walk leisurely through the pieces. It takes an eternity to put the shards back together, But when I do, I vow to myself never to let it happen again… Wrong! It’s the same thing every time. So I put my fractured heart into someone else’s hands Someone who told me they loved me, But did the same thing. And I came back like a lost puppy… So what are you waiting for? Kick me while I’m down… Toss me out of your life. You seem to keep trying to do so Without success and it’s making my life A living Hell. I am so done with this. I know I deserve better than all the Hell you’ve put me through. The only reason this hasn’t killed me yet Is the same reason I hate myself… The one person I treat like crap Was the only one there for me… Again.
