It's raining out & I'm standing out
Thinking it's been year's now
I know it ain't no turning it around
Because she don't feel me like I feel her
Again drowning trying to catch my breath
Standing in the rain no stress release
Everything's a peach if you see it
Gold or It's silver
Don't turn around till she's with you
This Is the way It's suppose to be
Dreaming of a dream
Nobody can catch you
Because you in between
Again drowning Drowning again
Rain beats heavy now on your head
You got a umbrella with Rip's in it
You can't believe It
She's not into you
Again drowning baby
Been so long so many years
I can't stand it but live on.

Usually when someone writes about rain, they use it to symbolize cleansing and renewal. You put a spin on this, and used rain to symbolize drowning which has a completely different meaning, yet still extremely powerful and full of imagery. Nice job!
