Against the Wind

Thinking back when times were throwed,

Momma didn't have no soap,

Couldn't even wash our clothes,

If water worked,

Water ain't heated,

Our asses were cold,

Barely got to eat,

But momma always had her smoke,

Smoke and choke on confusion,

Confused and had an abusive relationship,

With crack cocaine,

She was addicted to all the drama in the hood,

Forget that i'd wanna stay away,

But i'd go back,

To see her lovely face,

Wish i could see it again,

You turn up every now and then,

And then you're gone in the wind,

I close my eyes ,

Travel back in time,

I see us together as a family,

Disfunctional,

I tighten my eyes as tears pour from my face,

Feel for your gentle hands,

Holding me with your stomach to my face,

Open my eyes,

My eyes are sore,

My heart is torn,

How do i kill this pain,

When i feel this pain,

I can feel no more,

But more pain,

I hate the pain,

I can't fight the pain,

The pain is killing me,

There is no killing the pain,

The winds blowing again.
