Agape

To say love is a cliché thing, is a cliché thing to say.

But with you, love means so many things.

You bring happiness to a day when there is none,

a sense of security like a swaddled baby- even when

history is nothing but broken glass.

Around you I’m as comfortable as a cat in a dog's bed,

and my anxieties are not to be found.

You don’t hide me nor hide from me

and you accept me as I am- baggage included-

because you love me.

Me
My family
