age and wisdom

Age and Wisdom

An old man

scarred flesh and brittle bones

sometimes not knowing what to do

but also in tune with life's beautiful tones

always has a task at hand

comes to me with his plan

a new lesson taught every day

to show his grandson the error of his way

might be harsh

might be cruel

at the end of the day

he gives me a new tool

as he moves around on his four legged machine

I cant help but wonder

is that how I will be

then I think

its not that bad

because to be as wise as him

will truly make me glad

the old man

scarred flesh and brittle bones

sometimes not knowing what to do

but also in tune with life's beautiful tones
