The Age of Electronica by LesII
They will look back
And call this
The age of electronica
Hooked up playtime
Wiiing Wi-Fi wonders of isolation
No contact, no connection to each other
Just cyber sexing, cyber bullies of the information age
Passing themselves off as human
While they sing songs through vocalizers and synthesizers
Forgetting the humanity of the human voice
They will look back and call this the electronica era
Email instead of snail mail
Spam is no longer a food, if it ever was
Spam went from mystery meat to mysterious annoyance
Flooding our lives with inane minutia of advertising
Penis enlarging, smile whiteners, and breast enhancers
Credit connectors to help you pay for the various enhancements
They will call this the period of electronica
Stars with no talent diddy bopping through
Media created sensationalism
15 minutes of realistic unreality
Singers who can not sing serenade us with songs reportedly dealing with love
Like coming into the middle of an obscene conversation
Between a pimp and a perverted John concluding a deal in a back alley
They will call this the electronica generation
Impressed with their own electronic finger print
No longer understanding the subtleties of the written word
Starved by the lack of social interaction
Playing with themselves for an electronic spurt of adrenaline
Back stopped by they’re own isolated gaming
They will call this the time of electronica
When boy and girl become obsolete because they no longer touch
Writhing across beds of electrons pretending love
Pretending love comes through a cable instead of from a look
Communication becomes bits and bites rather than
Bites and licks and kisses sweet
Virtual love replacing real caresses as
Man sinks in to an electronic funk
They will call it electronica, but they will know the truth
