Age Long Question

(poems go here) The pen glides across paper Ink clashing with parchment Creating an image Shoulders of hills emerge Valleys level the land In the distance The dark, ominous mountains lurk These cascading structures Challenging anyone to cross The pen tattoos the landscape to the surface A familiar story, it seems The story of a supernatural being Whose scalpel carves out oceans, mountains, and canyons Creating spectacles that puzzle the human brain The Genesis story He sculpts man, a supreme being Who dominates the animals He reigns with a female companion And within a week The Earth is complete Is there a being such as this? One that creates a lustful selfish man Who is thirsty for war One that creates weapons that dismantle the Earth One that is placed at the focal point of countless wars Or is he just a benevolent spectator, A watchmaker just creating a landscape And letting it take on a mind of its own.
