Age of Numbness

Age of Numbness

From the second that you’re in this world,

They tell you what is “fair”,

Age of numbness,

The questions you’re allowed to ask,

And the ones you wouldn’t dare,

Standing up,

I am me too,

They goes against and say that isn’t what you should do,

We must be brave,

In this world of craze,

Do you fall into the sunken place or go up to God’s gate,

You see on daily mail who will next be exposed,

Isn’t that how this all goes?

They expect you to be a walking dictionary,

But frown and look down upon you,

Placed on the path they’ve paved for you,

Age of numbness,

Life pushes you along,

Without the chance to stop and think,

If it’s right or wrong,

Age of numbness,

But beyond your pathway

Is where living really starts,

A land of risks and danger,

To be as strong as Ally Reisman,

Not following the lines or hiding behind,

Lighting dancing among the skies,

And a land of broken hearts,

Our curiosity sinks like a Titanic,

Age of numbness,

They’ll tell you should fear this land,

That there’s no good at all,

As they live their lives as they’ve been taught,

Beyond expectations wall,

But the best people you will ever meet,

Have wandered off their track,

Age of numbness

Found themselves along the way,

And have no need to wander back,

So forget about life’s roadmap,

Follow your heart at any cost,

For you’ll never truly find yourself,

If you’re too scared to get lost,

Age of numbness.
