Aging

Ecclesiastes 4:13 New English Translation (NET Bible)

Labor Motivated by Prestige Seeking

13 A poor but wise youth is better than an old and foolish king
who no longer knows how to receive advice.

Aging

We had to grow up … there was no other choice

At times it seemed unfair ... having to change dimension

With little follow up … and uncertainty in voice

It seemed that few cared … indifference not to mention

Slowly growing older … is the mind depleting?

Are we slowing down … at the pace of growing up?

To be filed in a folder … marked: “Always cheating”

As we lost another round … without ever getting up?

Where now to be placed … with many another folder

Somewhere in a dark room … marked: “Over the hill”

Where in any case … no one will now scream or holler:

“Where is this place of gloom”? … Where experience is killed
