Aging ...

Psalm 92:12-15 New English Translation (NET Bible)

12 The godly grow like a palm tree;
they grow high like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Planted in the Lord’s house,
they grow in the courts of our God.
14 They bear fruit even when they are old;
they are filled with vitality and have many leaves.
15 So they proclaim that the Lord, my Protector,
is just and never unfair.

Aging

Sunshine stroking our environment … a deep breath as all feels fine

Body aching as age is brooding to take toll without any mercy

Soothing as a balm the warm rays and children’s voices in rhyme

Makes life surely worth the living … in spite of pain and uncertainty

I dream of being young again but I really don’t want to be

The traces of what I left behind are like footprints on my past

To be at peace with who I am should be sufficient as I see

The grandchildren's “will” to self will force a way that can’t last

Age there does not mean a thing as perspective is now all it's own

Influence from the outside as they will digest the time to come

Starting as a simple ripple on a surface disturbed by a stone

It can grow to any wave-length before their life gets done
