Agonizing to wait

Counting the minutes, hours, days and what comes after that

Every time you look at a certain spot it seems the day grows longer

but then you move your focus and it flys by

Only to know its still the same hour

Little by little, the hand moves

Inch by inch is agonizing

Making scenes of that person, emotions you think you’ll have

A tiny film running through your mind

A new one each time you look at that same spot, waiting

Hearing footsteps outside, only to see it was your imagination

Hallucinations forming and just wanting it all to be real, to know that it’s not

Ignoring the voices inside the house, you sink into an abyss that has no end,

a similarity to a rabbit hole leading to the same place

But it’s the place you’ve seen over over again
