Air

You

Without you my life becomes meaningless

The world we knew ceases to exist

It all falls to ashes, ashes

That fill every crevice

That cover my cold empty hands, hands

That cannot be washed

That have been tainted, tainted

By the loss of  you

You...

Are the reason for my distress

Or is it a mutual affect formed from my continuous need? Need,

To be surrounded by you

To be constantly in your presence, presence

Is the only thing I ask of you

You

Do not belong to me

You

Are free

You

Have many names

But to me there can only be one

You are Air.

And without you, there isn't a me
