In an Air Balloon

In an air balloon I'm flying. From the sky, the earth is small. All the trees are now a forest— Now they aren't so tall. Through clouds of purest white it rushes, Snowy vapor all around. Now it's gone and sky reopens— So far from the ground! Hear the rushing of the breezes, Hear the songbirds as they fly! See their pathway in the ocean— Ocean of the sky! Their wings are sparkling in sunlight, Pinions flashing brilliant gold. Every echoed verse they triumph— Songs so scarcely told! Feel the chill of upper breezes, Feel the thrill of frigid air! Smell the scentless smell of freshness— Sky so blue and fair! The air balloon, it surges onward, Soars above the lower clouds. Now for once I join the birds and Soar above the earth!
