Alcohol
Alcohol,
You allow me power in some kind of way.
You make me happy.
You make me pretty,
You make me free.
You make all my problems float away.
The heat that steadily flows throw my veins,
the calmness in my body,
the loveliness dancing in my brain.
The love i have for you will always be the same.
Even though you do start bitter at first,
your happiness clenches every single type of thirst.
Your dizziness I cannot explain.
it is perfect how you treat me,
how you make me so sane.
Powerful, my tongue explores your taste,
you make me forget the worries,
the fears,
the anger,
my name.
I'm only who I want to be when we meet,
You have me numb.
My soul,
My heart,
My body,
Everything that consists of me.
But I have soon learned that what we have is toxic,
a love that is never able to be.
I have to pour out the love I'm so willing to save,
I have to spill our mutual love down the drain.
I have to give you up, before it is too late.
before it is too strong, before I cannot turn away,
or maybe,
just maybe,
I can wait one more day...
