Aliens Within
As a child, I sought but a myth,
A mere symbol,
As the archetype stood before me:
"I will give you unseen secrets,
Knowledge of what is,
And a share of my food."
Yet clearly I understood not what he meant,
Found out he was "fake," yet later, his image
Refused to relent.
Here they come again,
Extraterestrials beckoning me to repent,
Not of sin or evil or any such illusion,
But ignorance, folly, and every delusion.
Behold the myth which enlightens us.
Religion, ancient monsters, Santa the Guru,
Yet one in my mind I cannot forget,
How unto our planet the aliens were sent,
To teach us of love, of life, of gnosis,
To beckon humanity out of a psychosis.
And tonight, I seek, within a dream,
To summon a Blue One to beam,
Me up in his ship to tell me who,
To contact next for a spiritual guru.
How alienated I stand,
In the world of Forms,
So awaken the alien within,
To experience the norms
Of Truth,
That which I shall find. Amen.
