Alive

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

16 Always rejoice, 17 constantly pray, 18 in everything give thanks.

For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

I must be alive and well ... because I have many feelings

One moment I am crying and the next I have great peace

The uncertain acting flustered ... because it lost attention

but it regains strength ... as it knocks me to my knees

A good place to be ... when you’re weak and defeated

and the only place to rest ... when you can’t sleep at all

The older you get ... the more you start hurting

in that position of discomfort ... lack of practice after all?
