Alive

I want to feel like

I’m actually worth something,

I want to feel like

I’m actually alive,

I want to feel like

I’m actually living and breathing,

I want all this pain to end,

I want all this uncertainty

To blow away like dust in the wind,

I want all this weariness

To dissolve like salt in water,

I want all this darkness

To leave me like ice melting in early spring,

I need these feelings

Of tiredness

And sorrow

And anxiety

And darkness

To leave me now,

So I can finally return to the light,

And I can finally be free.

writers_gonna_write

I have been writing poetry for 5 years now and I have a collection of over 600 original poems I've made. I submitted a poem to Appelley Publishing and was published in the 2018 addition of their poetry book. I love to read and write, and I have a cat and a hamster.
