Alive at Night

We swam in the blue pond

The stars our ceiling

A map of our dreams

Burning bright

And you stayed with me when everyone had left

You stayed with me

The fire between us was my heart

Snack Shack excited us

Picking the locks with delight

Climbing the fence, walking on the roof

Smoking on the playground

I slid down with a thrill

You make me feel alive and you don’t even know

You do not even know

How you make my heart beat fast when you speak

And skip when you look at me

And the things you do

You don’t even know that you can break me

You shattered my heart, you killed me

You consumed my fire

With you're power

Power that kills

That breaks hearts

And hearts

Die
