All of This

and maybe out of all of this
I will love a little more

and maybe out of all of this
I will be a little more grateful
of a trip to the grocery store without a panic attack in the pasta sauce aisle,
of seeing that one hockey player that's really cute on TV,
or even my five-dollar iced lattes made by Red, the barista

and maybe out of all of this
I won't complain so much about visiting my grandparents on Saturday mornings,
of how long the wait is to be seated for dinner at that place downtown,
of how early I have to get up in the morning for school,
or even the one-ply toilet paper in seemingly all public bathrooms

and maybe out of all of this
I won't take advantage of
walking through TjMaxx "just because I felt like it",
shifts with my favorite coworker that always has candy stashed in her purse,
or even going to the smelly, packed gym where I feel a little out of place.

and maybe out of all of this
we will love a little more
