All In

13 years in a public prison,

4 years of undergrad studies,

4 more years of medical school;

Countless hours studying,

Procrastinating,

Working;

Countless dollars towards fees-

Application fees,

Test fees,

And Tuition.

So many sacrifices.

All for one job.

To be a neuroscientist.

To change people's lives,

And to change my own.

Finally my sacrifices will be worth it.

I'm all in.
