All because of Me

Great ideas I know I can conceive

The power of poetry is great to me

But if I can get one person to see

Then a movement will start and

its all because of me

Let's stand up to this police brutality

I shouldn't be afraid to walk down the street

I'm tired of the police

I shouldn't feel anxiety

Or this dark cloud hanging over me

Don't get me wrong not all cops are bad

But KTVU and CNN tend to make me sad

Every time I see a black graduate I get glad

And that my dear is how we fight back

Great ideas I know you can achieve

Take my hand and I'll help you see

Don't look back and some will flee

But now you're onto something great

And it's all because of me
