The all encompassing brain

I took my brain out yesterday

I set it on the counter for all to see

It flopped and jingles in all the wrong ways

I sat there, just looking at if for days

Worms of jealousy

seemed to eat at the left side

And flies of insecurity

created an unpleasant buzz

Grayness was spreading just because

loneliness caused a slight hole in the middle

Where I feared it might collapse into a puddle

I realized that desperation must keep it together

Quite simply what else do I have?

Huffing and puffing I refused to put it back in

Why would I want that horrendous thing

To eat at me from within

Soon I began to whither and shrivel inside

Everything dripped away revealing

That nothing that had been could coincide

Without that horrendously pulsing

Brain

Jealousy, insecurity, loneliness, and corruption

Vanished

Leaving a corpse without direction

And a heart beating for reasons which were extinguished

People passed on by without judging

And yet without judging there is also no feeling

Because there is no point to talking to a shell

Without really anything to tell

With the bad also went the good

In everything there is both

So remember the genius

The comfort and the heart of gold

Only come when you complete the mold

Take up your brain and smile

Because something like you

Only comes once in awhile
