All He Says I Am
What if I told you that I dont know what I am
That I have yet to create an elaborate five year plan
Maybe im confused by what I'm "supposed" to be
With all these voices screaming at me from society
Maybe I'm disturbed by what these voices say
I should do, I should be, and the price that I must pay
They day that I am strong, and I can do whatever I please
That my body is a tool to get men begging on their knees
They say that all decisions are mine to make for free
And that whatever I decide affects no one but me
They say I need to get the newest car and phone
Graduate, get a job, maybe buy a two story home
They have so many opinions about what all I should be
But then I start to think and I have to disagree
When I start to imagine opportunity filled skies
Satan seems to creep in and whisper his dark lies
He tells me a mistake is the only reason I became
A baby in this world, only bringing saddened shame
He tells me I'm worthless, a failure, a bad joke
I crumble under his weight and on his filthy lies I choke
Until the God of Heaven sends a moment of clarity
And from the light of His grace I can finally see
What I am is what HE says and that is ALL I am
He says I am forgiven, loved, and for me He has a plan
Better than anything I have ever imagined before
And the shedding of His precious Blood has opened up
the door
To eternal life with the One who made the stars
With the One who for you and me has suffered many
scars
I am the child of thus precious Holy Lamb
And now I see I really am All He Says I Am
