All I Ever Wanted

All I ever wanted

was to be

yours

Yours and only

yours

The same way

you claim

a book that belongs

to you

All I ever

wanted was to

be your Arabella

The girl who

makes you

think of sunsets

as average views

from the universe

The girl whose lips

make mangos

undesirable to eat

The woman who owns

you, that was

All I ever wanted

to be
