All I ever wanted

All I ever wanted was

To have a heart to heart

To lay on my back and watch the starts

To light candles and Douce the self in bubbles

Instead I shrunk and doubted myself

Preferring rooms that would cloud my sun

Was that self sabotage or what

Why would one set themselves aside

Why would no one redirect their path

Is this the circle I’m supposed to trust
