All I Need

If I was on a desrted island the one thought I would need,

would be that my family would be okay, eventually.

That they would morn and be able to move on in their lives.

The thought they were still looking for me,

when I knew they would never find me would break my heart.

I would hold on to the thought that they would move on,

I wouldn't think about the possibility of anyone finding me.

I couldn't, if I wanted to stay sane.

Losing a child is hard,

I expect it would be even harder if you didn't know what happened to them.

But I would hold the thought that they would eventually be okay close to my heart.
