All I Need

All I Need

What do I need to survive you ask?

For I need my heart
Without it I would die in a matter of seconds
The sound of the beat keeps me going
My heart guides me through life, and answers my most difficult questions
It causes me to feel pain and love he ought life lessons
The pain without water or shelter
And love for the grace of God that I am alive
With my heart I will survive this MIGHTY journey that lies
It gives me comfort, when there is no one to talk to
The memories that it holds for me to unfold and walk through
To keep me remembering what life was like before
For I need my heart
