All I Need

If I had to choose

One thing with me to stay

On a deserted island

Far, far away,

I'd keep my Bible.

Care to know why?

It's the heart of my beliefs

And gives purpose to my life.

It's embedded with values

I hold dear to my heart,

Providing me with guidance

From which I never will part.

The lessons within

Changed my whole life.

I had deviated from the path

Of what I knew was right.

Then one day at church camp,

I opened my Bible again.

No longer a renegade,

I live to serve Him.
