I am being raised in an era 

Where love has no meaning

Just another four letter word that you can care less about

Our women are turning cold hearted

Our men don't know themselves 

and our children are being aborted 

But yet only thing I can think about is

All I need

How selfish of me 

to turn my back on society's unforgiving ways

and try to find a reason to move on

Is the only thing that you hear from me

When I speak to you about my dreams 

When I tell you more than enough of what I see

Might just be the only thing you'll remember me by

A human being so arrogant 

that she don't use the word want

but the word need

When I carry on with my day

and see what others go through

When I know there are many out there struggling

and lost without hope

was a term that has been viewed as self absorbed or egocentric

when I used it

Yet their views went without understanding

I don't get how our love has been spiraled into a deep hatred

I could never stack a brick day by day 

and expect for our empires to be build by tomorrow

All I need is encouragement 

To be stripped of my pride

and humble myself for new beginnings 

is something I thought we all can relate to

All I need is inspiration

Blood is now green

and sweat and tears don't mean anything on screen

All I need is love

My culture is so broken apart 

Brothers and sisters don't see eye to eye

We are not there for each other's company

more like each other's stepping stone
