All I Need Is
What can't I live without?
An odd question.
Most definitely not something you hear
On a daily basis.
What I can't live without
Is not
Material.
It's not
Tangible.
And yet it still
Exists.
There are days when
I feel
Broken
Downtrodden
Defeated.
And yet
It's still there.
Showing me
That it is still
Present.
Even in this
Dark and
Cold
World.
It's still there.
The light at the end
Of the tunnel.
Hope.
It doesn't give an explanation
For the way things
Are.
But it does give the
Strength
and
Courage
One needs to fight through the
Inexplicable and
Inevitable
Pain of the
World.
It shows you
That things can be better.
There may not be a
Reason
For
Violence
Or
Suffering.
And I cannot guarantee
That life will be
Easy.
Because it won't be.
But one thing I can
Promise
You.
As long as
You
Have
Hope
You
Can
Win.
You
Can
Survive.
And so
If I were stuck on a desert island
One thing
I know
Is that
Without
Hope
I would not
Survive.
