All I Need

Rocky mountain views and subtle sunshine smiles,

Silver dollops of clouds and glorious meadows spreading for miles,

Butterflies swarming with hello’s and fish swimming calmly downstream,

Roosters alarming and baby ducklings hiding in mother’s wing,

Friendly nods while walking past and bright young handshakes here and there,

The bustle of the morning in a jam-packed city square,

Lovely picnics in the park and thrilling adventures on the beach,

Cute little dates on roller skates and passing time as days will teach,

Gentle ocean, sun-kissed sea, slightly blushing swaying trees,

Rosy petals, giggling tulips, a meadow embraced with happy bees,

Stinging hornets, rotten fruit, worms wriggling out in the rain,

Lies and cheats and nonstop crazy but laughing through the pain;

The earth, our world, is bitter but we must not dwell on such,

But rather focus on the love of Mother Nature’s touch,

And if there’s one thing in life without which I’d surely go,

It’s the substantial solid promise that I will live to see tomorrow.
