I can guarantee

that when you see me

I will be 

overthinking

It's a bit of a curse

the outcome can hurt

but I'd be lying to say

it didn't have its perks

The only thing I'd need

if it were only me

are

my memories

Abandon me, take it all away

but in my mind

they

will stay

Rather than wishing for more

Or continue bored

I'd hold on to this feeling

Because everything past and present will remain

And thanks to this, there would be no pain
