All I Need

All I need in life are my parents.

If I lost them I would be nothing.

My mother whispering advice and encouraging words into my ear.

My father standing tall next to me,

my knight in rusted armor.

Though I did not listen before,

I now relish and remember every word of advice or wisdom the my mother offers to me.

And I absorb all the life experience my father can give me.

I know we are,

In thought,

Too young for Death to take any of us,

But Death does not know the meanings of young and old.

So I must relish the time with my parents.

Before the one thing I need in life is taken from me.
