All I Need
Alone, alone, alone I stand
"I need you" I'll yell, holding her hand.
Through a storm, through a trial
My mother's the need I'll need for a while
On an island, deserted or populous,
She's who could make it rather marvelous.
The closest friend, the best of mothers
To the end I'll need her, above any others.
She raised me greatly with God at her side,
And taught me His word is to abide.
In my mind are things to remember
Like how she was born in mid-December.
But many other things are in there too
Like what she meant in saying 'I love you'.
To ask what I need, stranded or not,
Is so obvious, and clearly thought
Life has many struggles, won't you agree?
But in them all, constantly
I need my mother, anyone could see.
She gave it all to do everything for me.
