All I need
All I need is neither a bird nor a tree
Nor a man to keep
Me safe
What I really need is a cooler mom
Or a different worldview,
because I’m sheltered.
But the one thing I desire most, the father, son, and holy ghost
While eating “American Pie”
Is for things to be the way they were
Before the fall
Before my fall
Before my heartbreak, before my confusion
When I thought I knew everything
Now I’m just chilling
In space
A different person
Without a trace
Of the last that used to be,
Of the last that used to be.
